BUCKEYE LOCAL SOUTH ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL

South Elementary is a preschool through fifth grade school located in Tiltonsville, Ohio, and has a student body of over 370 students.  We follow PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Support) in our school and Panther PRIDE is our mission statement.  Our Panther PRIDE statement is:  Students at South Elementary have Panther Pride. We are Productive, Respectful, Involved, Dependable and strive for Excellence in all we do. South Elementary administration, teachers, and staff encourage students to be caring, respectful, and life long learners.  We encourage our students to participate in community activities, recycling, and service learning projects.  We have an active PTO and encourage parents to be involved in their child’s learning. We focus on providing learning opportunities for all students.  We realize that what is fair is not everyone getting the same thing but everyone getting what they need to be successful.  Student academics are monitored with Dibels, Study Island, Short Cycle Assessments and other data collection.  Some of our school activities are:  Family Literacy Night, Veteran’s Day Celebration, See You at the Pole, Nine weeks awards, Right to Read Week activities, Red Ribbon Week Celebration, PBIS Incentive rewards, after school programs, local food drive for the needy, Christmas Concert, Jump for the Heart, 5th grade band, Spring Concert, and many more. I consider it an honor to serve with a wonderful staff, excellent students and a caring community.
